Your simple guide to setting up and using your work apps

PasswordEmailTeamsBrightHRBlip

You now have a Sensi Brands work account. Part 1 helps you set up your apps the first time. Part 2 shows you how to use them every day. Take it one step at a time. There is no rush.

Part 1 · Set up your apps

1Set your password (do this first)

Your temporary password only works once. The first time you log in, you will make your own password. Pick whichever way is easiest. You only need to do one of them.

Option A: On a computer or phone web browser

  1. Open a web browser (Safari, Chrome, or Edge).
  2. Go to office.com and tap Sign in.
  3. Type your username (your new work email). Tap Next.
  4. Type the temporary password from your welcome email. Tap Sign in.
  5. When asked, type the temporary password once more, then create a new password and confirm it.
  6. If it asks for a phone number or personal email to keep your account safe, follow the steps on screen.
  7. When you reach the Microsoft 365 home page, you are done.

Option B: On your phone using the Outlook app

This way sets your password and your email at the same time.

  1. Install Microsoft Outlook from your welcome email link.
  2. Open it and tap Add Account (or Get Started).
  3. Type your work email, then tap Continue.
  4. Type the temporary password from your welcome email.
  5. When asked, type the temporary password once more, then create a new password and confirm it.
  6. If it asks for a phone number or personal email to keep your account safe, follow the steps on screen.
  7. Your email opens. You are done, and your email is set up too, so you can skip Step 2.
Write your new password somewhere safe. You will use it for the apps below.

2Set up your email (Outlook)

Already set up Outlook on your phone in Step 1 (Option B)? Your email is done. Skip to Step 3.
  1. Install Microsoft Outlook from your welcome email link.
  2. Open it and tap Add Account.
  3. Type your work email, then tap Continue.
  4. Type your new password.
  5. Your Sensi email loads. That is it.
Check your email often. All company messages go here now, including your BrightHR invite (Step 4).

3Set up Microsoft Teams

Teams is how we chat and share messages at work.

  1. Install Microsoft Teams from your welcome email link.
  2. Open it and sign in with your work email and new password.
  3. If it asks to send notifications, tap Allow so you do not miss messages.

4Set up BrightHR

BrightHR is where you book time off and see your info.

  1. Look in your new Sensi work email for an invite from BrightHR.
  2. Open it and tap Get started to set up your account. Make a password (at least 12 characters, with one capital letter and one number or symbol).
  3. Install the BrightHR app from your welcome email link, then sign in with your BrightHR email and password.
You can do all of this right on your phone. You do not need a computer.

Recommended: sign in with Microsoft (one less password)

You can log in to BrightHR with your Sensi work account instead of a separate BrightHR password.

  1. In BrightHR, tap your profile picture in the top right, then tap My Account.
  2. Find Single sign-on and tap Settings.
  3. Choose Microsoft and sign in with your work email and password.
  4. Next time, just tap Sign in with Microsoft.

5Set up Blip (clock in and out)

Blip is the app you use to clock in and out of your shifts. Setting it up now means it is ready when your shift starts.

  1. Install the Blip app from your welcome email link.
  2. Sign in with your BrightHR login. If you set up "Sign in with Microsoft" in Step 4, use that.
  3. The first time, tap Allow if it asks to use your camera (for QR codes) and your location.

6Optional: Microsoft Authenticator

This app makes logging in faster and safer. It is optional. If you want it, install Microsoft Authenticator from your welcome email link and follow the steps on screen.

Part 2 · Everyday basics

Microsoft Teams: chat with your team

Teams is how we send quick messages to each other at work, like texting.

Start a new chat

  1. Open Teams and tap Chat at the bottom.
  2. Tap the new chat icon (a pencil or "+") at the top.
  3. Type the person's name and tap it when it appears.
  4. Type your message in the box at the bottom and tap the send arrow.

Reply to a message

  1. Tap Chat, then tap the person's name to open your conversation.
  2. Type your reply and tap the send arrow.
A red dot or number on the Teams icon means you have new messages.

Microsoft Outlook: send and read email

Outlook is your work email. All company messages come here.

Read an email

  1. Open Outlook. Your inbox lists your emails.
  2. Tap any email to open and read it.

Reply to an email

  1. Open the email you want to answer.
  2. Tap Reply (a back-arrow near the top).
  3. Type your message and tap the send arrow at the top.

Send a new email

  1. Tap the new email button (a pencil, usually bottom right).
  2. In To, type the person's name or email and tap it.
  3. Tap Subject and type what the email is about.
  4. Tap the large space and type your message.
  5. Tap the send arrow at the top right.
To attach a photo or file, tap the paperclip before you send, then choose your file.

Blip: clock in and out

You clock in when you start work and out when you finish. Your manager will tell you which way to use. The two common ways are a QR code and your location.

Clock in with a QR code

A QR code is a square black-and-white pattern posted at the clock-in area.

  1. Open the Blip app.
  2. Tap the Scan tab at the top.
  3. Point your phone camera at the QR code at the clock-in area.
  4. Blip shows you are clocked in. Add a note if you need to.
  5. At the end of your shift, do the same steps to clock out.

Clock in with your location

  1. Make sure you are at work, inside the clock-in area.
  2. Open Blip and tap Clock in.
  3. At the end of your shift, open Blip and tap Clock out.

Taking a break

  1. Tap Start break when your break begins.
  2. Tap End break when you come back.
Forgot to clock in or out? Tell your manager, or fix it in the History tab: tap the shift, tap the pencil, set the right time, add a note, and save. Your manager approves it.
